Commentary about the Second Presidental Debate
I am pleasantly pleased by the results of this debate. President Bush was able to articulate effectively what he was trying to convey across to the American people. Kerry was charismatic as always, but this time issues came up that he was unable to fully address. He kept concentrating upon the questions he liked and shy away from the questions that he felt was not helpful. Bush was able to stay more on topic and focus on the questions at hand. Plus he didn’t scowl this time.
I really think that Bush was more himself this time around. Instead of putting on a phony facade he came across more genuine and real and was a lot more comfortable about it. He wasn’t uptight and he seemed to be able to really connect with people.
Kerry has one more chance to actually take a stand on the issues at hand and to really come across upon what matters most to Americans. So far I see a snow job and I got a cold feeling from him. This debate solidified how I am voting more than the last two. The variety of issues really brought home what mattered to Americans today.
