The future of the Palistians : Freedom or Terrorism

Last year Israel has uniformly withdrawn from the Gaza strip. Israel torn down her settlements, withdrew her troops, and left the Palistians with Gaza in their own hands. They left them to decide their fate and their future. What did the Palistians decide? They choose instead of freedom they choose terrorism. They elected Hamas a terrorist organization to lead their people into the new tomorrow. They attacked Seridot, which is part of pre-1967 Israel on a daily basis. Launching rocket after rocket after rocket. They kidnap a 19 year old solider and murder an 18 year old teenager in the West Bank. The Palistians demand a prisoner release while making no assurances that they will cease their terrorism, recongize Israel, honor pass peace accords, and negotiate a lasting peace. They make no promises of freedom or a future, instead they continue their terrorism.

Hamas accuses Israel of wanting to topple their government. Hamas accuses Israel of reacting with "inappropriate" force. What is inappropriate of wanting security? Of wanting your neighboring people to stop bombarding your cities with rocket fire. If Russia endured this treatment there would be no question of the response. If China endured this they would take care of it once and for all. Yet Israel endures, hoping that someday there will be peace, hoping that someday the Palestinians will learn to co-exist instead of choosing to be extremists.

Media organizations try to equate the two, try to make it seem like there is some kind of moral equality between Israel and Hamas. Their claim is laughable, their logic is unsound. An organization that targets men, women, and children, that goes out of their way to murder people, is somehow equal to a county, a society, a government, and a people who are moral, fair and just. Who endure the Palistian attacks in the hopes that there will be peace.

one sided opinion and lacks so much understanding of how sick and unfair the situation is. So very sad Isreal can do anything she wants to the Palistian people, tear down their homes, take their land and kill their children. You wonder why the Palistians have such a hatread toward Isreal and the USA

C tripp, the Palistians had the chance to join Israel and become Israeli citizens, talk to the million Israeli Arabs that chose to live there rather than try to destroy it. You keep talking about how "sick" and "unfair" the situation is. First there is no easy solution, there is no magic fix it for this. Israel is a nation now, so talking about the poor dispersed Palistians isn't going to work anymore. It's 60 years of Israel's existance and they're not going anywhere.

Take their land? Like the U.S. did to the poor Indians, maybe we should give back the land to them, after all we took their land and "killed" their children.

Please, The Palistians are not a partner for peace, they elected terrorists to their government, no one will give Hamas financial aid because they don't recongize Israel's right to existance, they won't honor past peace agreements, and they will not renounce terrorism. Is this what you are trying to advocate? The terrorism?
