What I’m getting out of the site is an exchange of information. I am becoming aware of new sites and different slants upon the information as whole. I am finding that the users of Joe User site sources that aren’t just the mainstream media, but a wide variety of sources and information. I feel that the information exchange is great and the opinions of others are overall tolerated and respected. Yes everyone has their own opinions but together you can see a moral consensus which isn’t reflected in a C.N.N. poll. Of course the population of Joe User are people that are able to one access a computer, and two are aware of the Web site.

I’m really impressed with the site and the people behind it. To think that so many people can act civilly and with tolerance. I used to go on to Yahoo message boards and all I am reading there is ridiculous, malicious posts that are both insulting to the reader and very ignorant. Here people site sources, and debate about real issues of today. It’s amazing how much more intelligent people are on this site. So this article is just a Joe User giving his approval to www.joeuser.com , and the users of the site!

One of the things I love about this site is the mixture of people and perspectives on it. I have to agree that most people are really respectful of other peoples opinions. It's just one big learning experience, and a really friendly atmosphere!

Yes I agree Mgosh the quality content as well as the community offered on JoeUser supercede's the yahoo message boards. I believe this has much to do with Brad continually interacting with his site.

Have a good day~~

This place is a nice respite from the antics that take place at other forums. We have not had the large problems that places like Slashdot have had in the past and with the good moderation practices here I doubt that we will.

Sally: That is what I find to be so appealing about JoeUser is the diversity of the people on the site.

CamMeg: Once again I am in full agreement with your statement, Brad really shows his hard work and effort on JoeUser. Three cheers for Brad!

Greywar: The moderation style here is different then other places, instead of just ignoring distracters, or worse censoring them, they are confronted head on with their nonsense.

damn - too bad you got spambotted!

good article... JU does have its fair share of shameful stuff, and I am not proud to say that I have been a part of it in the past - but the moderators dealt with me accordingly, and I think thats why JU is pretty tame compared to some of the other stuff on the net.

It's good to learn from other 'real' people around the world - the greatest benefit of the internet in one mans humble opinion!

I agree. I've been to other blog sites...and none had a sense of community like this one does. It is not a perfect site, but it is pretty decent, and I have come to enjoy it.
